Duel leaderboards are the ranking UI: place, points, prize, countdown. How to enter a race and whether daily vs monthly is worth chasing lives on tournaments.
How ranking works
Instead of a hidden VIP club, Duel publishes visible prize-pool boards. You climb by wagering on eligible categories during the window. Rank is usually volume, not net profit — a losing grind still scores if the campaign counts handle. That is why “just bet more” is a trap unless the prize share covers the extra edge you pay.
- Place: paid ranks vs the long tail that scores nothing
- Points: campaign formula — typically eligible wagers, sometimes weighted
- Prize: crypto credit if you finish in the money
- Countdown: daily reset vs monthly runway
Reading the prize curve
A $2m headline is not “everyone gets rich.” First place takes a thick slice; the paid table thins fast. Before you add volume, look at:
- How many places are paid
- Your current rank vs the points gap to the next paid slot
- Whether that gap is cheaper than the expected loss on the bets required
Only chase a board if the prize math beats volume you would not otherwise play. Check position early — late spray-and-pray is how races eat bankrolls. Volume still pays the house; the prize is the offset.
